Auto-Accept Additional Hearings

This is a new feature we are offering to select attorneys based on their performance and coverage history.  This automatic acceptance feature ensures the best possible quantity of coverage for the attorney without needing to sign in and accept hearings constantly.  This feature will be offered to an attorney directly, and once confirmed, you will be presented with a pop-up Opt-in Window with the following message:

"Opting into Auto Accept allows you to automatically include hearings that qualify as candidates for bundling or superbundling with your existing appearances, optimizing coverage for appearance counsel and clients!

Only hearings that meet your compliance requirements will be eligible. It is important to note that you are still responsible for conducting appropriate conflict checks before all auto-accepted hearings. This can be done on your Appearance Page, accessible via Docketly's website or the link provided in the Auto Accept Summary email.

Auto Accepted Hearings: A summary of the auto-accepted hearings will be provided in your Daily Docket and Auto Accept Summary. Hearings will be automatically added up to two business days before the scheduled hearing date and time. If you need to remove an auto-accepted hearing, please contact Docketly directly at 800-910-1492 or submit a ticket for the specific hearing."

 

Be sure to click "Sign Me Up for this Feature" on the Popup which will then take you to your Profile:

 

At your profile page you will be scrolled down to a checkbox to "Automatically add available hearings to my docket".  Check this box and then click save at the bottom to enable the feature:

Once opted-in, eligible hearings* will automatically assigned additional hearings.  You must conduct conflict checks nightly when assignments are auto-accepted and notify Docketly to remove conflicting appearances. Failure to do this promptly could result in removing the auto-accept feature. 

Hearing Eligibility

  • Hearings will not be auto-assigned when the current time of assignment is past 4 pm of the attorney’s timezone, two days before the day of the hearing (Friday morning hearings will not be auto-accepted after 4 pm attorney’s time zone)

  • Only "Collections" cases are eligible for auto-adding

  • Tier (experience tier based on attorney questionnaire) level or lower than the current 

  • Trials are not eligible

  • Conflicting Departments (when available) will not be eligible. 

  • Conflicting Appearance Methods will not be eligible. 

  • Auto-accepted hearings will not exceed Court Limits

  • Compliance Requirements must be met

Auto-assigned Hearings CAN NOT be negotiated on in terms of fee after they have been automatically assigned.  Attempts to abuse this feature and request fee increases after being assigned will immediately remove the feature from the attorney's account.
