Hearings (Overview)

Finding available hearings is probably your primary mission when visiting the Docketly website.  So we made it really easy by putting a big orange button right at the top of your Attorney Home Page. Click on the orange "Pick Hearings" button.

This page will show you all the hearings that are currently available.  The system will also email you about hearings available so you shouldn't expect to find something here that you haven't already been notified about.

Select Hearings Page

On this page, you will see a list of hearings available.  Here is a sample.

There are 4 tabs across the top of the page.  The hearings are put in 4 different "buckets" based on the following:

  • Available: Opportunities will only appear here after they have reached general availability status. If you received a notification of a hearing opportunity, you should look on the Notified tab.

  • Offered: Opportunities will only appear here if the attorney has made a Counter-Offer on a case. They can see what offers are Accepted, as well as Pending or Declined as well.

  • Notified: Opportunities will only appear here after you have received a notification and it is still available.

  • Rejected: Opportunities will only appear here after you have rejected a hearing and it is still available. This gives you a chance to find a hearing you rejected in case something changes and you are now interested in that hearing.

The "Bundles Available" list allows the user to view current hearing requests that have been entered as bundles or multiple hearings at the same time and Court.

The "Hearings Available" list allows the user to view current single hearing requests.

Shown in the body of the table is a list of upcoming bundles that have been scheduled by a client. The user can sort this list by clicking on the underlined heading in the gray bar at the top of each column. Users may view bundle details and information by clicking on the underlined hearing date and time in the first column.

Click on the link in any given row to view more information on the hearing and decide if you want to cover the hearing.

You may view all available appearances in your state or just the counties you have selected by clicking the “View In”. See below:

You might notice notifications for local hearings that seem unfamiliar compared to our usual offerings. We're currently testing out new service categories that don't involve actual court hearings; they typically fall under the "Misc / Clerk" service type.

We have a variety of tasks that require completion on behalf of our clients within the courthouse. These tasks include confirming filings, retrieving documents, collecting paperwork, and more. They may not be as lucrative as traditional hearings, but they provide an opportunity to earn some extra income, especially if you have downtime at the courthouse.

Additionally, some of these tasks can be completed over the phone or delegated to your assistant, offering flexibility and convenience. Moreover, it's worth noting that many of these tasks may eventually lead to a court hearing for the same case in the future.
