Rejecting Hearings
You are not required to respond to each notification that we send out via email or text. We are simply letting you know of opportunities that you might be interested in because they are located near you geographically. You can choose to accept these (frequently additional) hearings, reject them, or ignore us entirely.
If you respond and reject though, it does help us by letting us know you are not available at that time and location. We will use this information to help refine our search for this hearing. It will also stop any further notifications being sent to you about that particular hearing.
There are an infinite number of reasons to reject a hearing. Maybe it’s a conflict with the defendant. Maybe you have another appointment. Or maybe you want a higher fee because the court is further away. All of those are great reasons to reject. Rejection is a good thing in our world. It gives us information.
To reject, you can visit the hearing on the website and hit the Reject Hearing button.
Make sure your information is visible and enter the reason. If you wish you can input a desired fee, but that field is not a requirement.
The final step is to click the "Yes, Reject Hearing" and this will let our team know you are unavailable and why.
