In 2009, a high volume collection attorney thought “there must be a better way to schedule local counsel to appear for short procedural court hearings. However, the service must engage experienced attorneys, be timely and most important, cost-effective for both firms hiring counsel and for the attorneys appearing at court.”

With that vision in mind, Docketly was established. As the name implies it is a network of local attorneys throughout the United States who are willing to appear, on short term notice, and provide experienced, high quality legal representation for clients or firms located in other cities and states. What’s different about this network is that it is driven by a powerful Internet based scheduling system that instantly moves information between clients and attorneys.

Docketly provides scheduling services only and is not a law firm. There are two parts to our service. First is the information system. Our software engineers work daily to improve and update the system to meet client and attorney needs for a fast, flexible and user friendly system. Second, Docketly provides knowledgeable and experienced staff that is available and ready to assist with all your scheduling needs and questions. 

Of course the system will only work when firms or clients use the system to hire local counsel. The system is designed to save the client time and money when hiring local counsel. For local attorneys, it provides another opportunity to increase business and improve your bottom line. We make sure you are paid on time and provide additional tools like annual milage reports, easy county notification selection, a robust mobile app, and complete personal support. As a local counsel attorney you are important to us. We are committed to providing the information you need for court and timely payment for your services. In exchange, we need you to select appearances as they become available and then appear prepared and on time to represent the appropriate party. Clients anticipate and expect you to file a hearing outcome report within 24 hours of the hearing’s completion.
