Our clients hire us to retain reliable attorneys who will appear as the hearing is posted; either in person at the correct court and on time, or remotely at the provided link.
We understand that there are inevitable situations which come up at the last minute or mistakes are made which make it impossible for attorneys to appear for a selected hearing opportunity. You are required to contact us IMMEDIATELY via phone at 800-910-1492 and let us know the circumstances. If you are calling outside of normal business hours and not able to connect with a Docketly team member, you must submit an urgent support ticket. This allows us to reach out to the client and attempt to see what actions can be taken to save the appearance.
We take any last minute coverage cancelations very seriously. They are extremely detrimental to both the interests of our clients and the reputation of our company. Therefore, we have created a Failure To Appear policy so we may treat these incidents with both gravity and consistency.
At a minimum, all fees for the missed hearing(s) will be removed. The client did not get service so we will not charge them. You will still be required to fill out your hearing report and provide as much information regarding the circumstance in the "Notes to Docketly" section as possible.
The policy is based on a 3 strikes rule. The below listed actions can and will be taken based on the communication we receive from you and the outcome for the client.
1st Time - 30 day suspension.
2nd Time - 60 day suspension.
3rd Time - Account disable. All future work will be removed from your account.
