Rewards (Points)

Rewards (Points)

Docketly has an impressive roster of attorneys nationwide who cover hearings for us.  This is great for our clients because we have a deep list of attorneys in case of conflicts, vacations, sickness, weather, etc, BUT it makes it more of a competition for attorneys.  So how, in an area where there may be dozens of eligible attorneys ready to serve, and a firm company belief that we would not have exclusive contracts or deals, do we choose who gets what?

We decided that attorneys would be rewarded based on their performance with us.  We wanted better performing attorneys to get more hearings.  A simple solution to a complex problem.  As an attorney completes hearings for us, we give them reward points.   Aside from the obvious money-in-your-pocket gain in covering more hearings, the more hearings you cover the more reward points you build up.  "But what's the point of the points?" you may ask. Good question! As you gain points, you gain levels within the network, which translates into (as briefly mentioned before) preferential treatment like advanced notice of hearings created, and of course, bragging rights among your peers.

Here is a small sample of a few ways to gain and lose points based on your activities with Docketly.

It is a simple concept but we have built a pretty complicated system behind the scenes to manage it for us day-to-day.  We hope this gives you a glimpse into how it works and how you can work to build more rewards and in turn get more hearings!

Final notes:  Each point earned defaults itself after 90 days. The system is set that way to encourage new attorneys in an area and to give them a shot even if they are late to join.  It also serves as motivation for current attorneys to maintain their competitive standards.

Also, there are a few things that influence hearing notifications:  Additional appearance - if you are already covering a hearing in that court at that time, we go to you first. Prior work on a case - if you covered a hearing on this case before, we will go to you next. Clients and courts like consistency.
