Resumes

Some clients require attorneys to have a standardized resume before being admitted to the pool or covering a hearing. We created an automation that makes it easy to create a resume.

Resume Format

The resume looks like a single-page pdf document that combines a summary of the attorney's experience outside of Docketly, professional education groups, and several hearings they covered in each area of law for Docketly. The resume can be found on the attorney's Compliance page. Attorneys who have a resume on file have a resume badge on their Attorney page.

Auto Resume Requirements

Attorneys need to have added their professional background information to their Applications. This includes their law school information - name and year graduated,

and their experience information - areas of law and number of years of practicing.

Please note that attorneys who joined Docketly after July 2021 have done this as a part of their sign-up process.

Resume for a Pool

When an attorney who is not in a pool and doesn't have the resume requirements on file tries to cover a pool hearing (where a resume is one of the requirements), the system blocks them. It offers a banner with a link to their Application page, where they need to supply the required information. The system will create the resume. Note: the attorney has to go back to the hearing and cover again after this.
