User Notifications

A master user is the only person who can choose and control their own notifications at account creation.

They are responsible for whether or not they wish to allow their delegate users to have that access.  If they do not want their delegate user(s) to be able to control the notifications they receive, they can set the account up that way as well.

Notifications are set up and edited within the "Preferences" section of any user account.  It is set up to allow you to select whether you would like to receive email or text notifications and for which services or states.  A master user can set up their own user notifications to whatever settings they would prefer, or, they can set up specific delegate users to receive specific notifications.  For example: you can allow one delegate user to receive notifications for specific services in specific states, but, another to receive all notifications for a single state.

To Edit User Notifications:

  1. From the home screen, click the blue "Users" button on the left hand side.

  2. This will take you to the Users page for your account.  You will now see your user information as well as that of your delegate users.

    • Be sure you have put a check mark next to "Include Disabled" to be able to view both enabled and disabled users.

  3. Select the user name of the delegate you wish to edit.  Select your own if you are wanting to edit your notifications.

  4. This will take you to the user page.

  5. Click the orange "Edit" button in the upper left hand corner.

  6. Scroll to the "Preferences" area.

    • Place a check mark next to "Email In Allowed" if you wish to receive email from Docketly. If you are editing a delegate account this mark will allow them to receive it.

    • Place a check next to "Notification For All Hearings". This will allow for notifications to be sent from Docketly regarding the Services and States specified in step 7

    • A check next to "Text Messages Allowed" will allow contact from Docketly to the user via text messages regarding hearing notifications and communications.

  7. The first grey drop down menu is the "But Only For These Services" menu. Place a check mark next to each of the service types you want this user subscribed to.

  8. The "But Only In These States" menu, similarly, will allow you to choose which states you want the user to receive notifications on.

  9. Once you have completed updating the Preferences, click on the orange "Save" button at the bottom of the screen.
